"Cappadocia" takes its name from the Cappadocia Kingdom, established in the region in the 3rd century BC. The region is composed of tuff layers formed by volcanoes such as Erciyes, Hasandağı, and Güllüdağ that erupted millions of years ago. It is famous for its extraordinary rock formations, shaped by natural phenomena such as wind, rain, and floods.

Thanks to its easily carved rocks, Cappadocia has been a settlement for many civilizations throughout history. It has hosted important civilizations such as the Hittites, Phrygians, Persians, Byzantines, Seljuks, and Ottomans. The region's rock churches, valleys, fairy chimneys, and underground cities give visitors the feeling of being on another planet.

On our tour, you will visit pottery workshops in Avanos, made with clay unique to the region, and witness this traditional craft, either as a spectator or a participant. We'll also experience the beauty of the Kızılırmak River, Turkey's longest river, as we pass through Avanos.

You'll also have the opportunity to see historical structures like the Ağzıkarahan Caravanserai, where trade caravans stopped along the Alanya-Cappadocia route along the historic Silk Road.
